Maya Tan

I grew up in Toa Payoh and spent twenty years editing other people's sentences before keeping long-form writing for myself. This journal is what came out when I stopped postponing it.

The studio is a narrow room with tall windows and too many notebooks. Neighbours know me as the woman who walks to the market at odd hours.

What I write

City life in Singapore without the postcard filter. Books that rearrange a month. The choice to slow down when the city rewards speed. No sponsored posts — shops and streets appear because they belong to the story.
